Our Mission
The mission of StoryKids is to partner with parents to faithfully teach children the redemption story and disciple them to love God and love people. StoryKids is not a place where we make much of ourselves or our “stories,” but instead is a place where we want to teach over and over again God’s Big Story of redemption found in Scripture.

StoryKids | Preschool
StoryKids Preschool consists of children ages six-weeks through Kindergarten. Each class is tailored to the developmental needs of its particular age group. We teach the Bible chronologically to each age group every year.
All of our preschool-aged classes point to five foundational truths we want our kids to remember. Those truths are:
If everything we do in class time helps our children learn and know these truths, we are thankful.
- Our baby room is a prayer ministry. Volunteers consistently pray out loud for children to one day know, love, trust, and obey Jesus.
- Our one-year-old room is where we start teaching the Bible. They play a lot, sing and dance to Jesus-centered songs, and hear from the Bible using pictures and color, of course!
- Our two-year-old room is similar in structure to our one-year-old room, but we incorporate twice as many Bible stories and more hands-on activities to facilitate their imagination.
- Our three-year-old through Kindergarten classes are all tailored similarly. They play and participate in intentional activities that help make connections to the Bible story, sing, dance, hear from the Bible, complete a craft that engages different learning styles, and memorize Scripture. Our Kindergarteners are given specific instructions on the first steps for using and reading their Bibles.
All of our preschool-aged classes point to five foundational truths we want our kids to remember. Those truths are:
- God Made Everything
- God is Good
- God is in Charge of Everything
- Jesus came to Save Sinners
- God Wants to Talk with Us.
If everything we do in class time helps our children learn and know these truths, we are thankful.
StoryKids | Elementary
StoryKids Elementary consists of elementary-aged students from first grade through fifth grade. This ministry is small-group-based, with time each week in a larger group setting to hear from the Bible. Instead of the one-year scope and sequence we use in our Preschool ministry, our elementary students learn from a three-year scope and sequence. They learn the redemption story chronologically, as well as other concepts such as worship, prayer, and the church. In small groups, they spend time reading from the Bible and talking through questions related to that week’s key point. In addition, they learn what it looks like to confess sin and struggles with peers, memorize Scripture, understand the mechanics of prayer, and what it means to be sent to their neighbors and the nations.

Your child's safety is our top priority!
We want you to trust that your child is safe and cared for while we all worship and learn!
We have outlined some of our safety policies and procedures below, but please email us if you have any questions!

On-Site Security & Safety
On Sundays, we have a plain-clothed police officer on campus patrolling the premises. Additionally, we have a StoryKids coordinator who patrols the StoryKids area during the service and can communicate needs accordingly. During the service, the doors to the StoryKids area remain locked and monitored by our security officer.
Two-Adult Policy
There will always be two adults (over the age of 18) in our StoryKids preschool classrooms. There will always be at least one adult and 2 kids in our StoryKids elementary classrooms. No child is ever alone with an adult.
Volunteer Vetting & Training
All StoryKids volunteers undergo a thorough onboarding process including:
- application
- interview by church leadership
- reference checks
- background check
- Sexual Abuse Awareness Training (provided by MinistrySafe)
- StoryKids policies & procedures training

Accessibility Ministry
At Redemption Story Church, we believe all people should have access to the Gospel, regardless of ability. If your child needs certain accommodations, we have a team that is excited to get to know them and tailor specific accommodations to help them get the most out of StoryKids Programming.
We would love to hear more about your child's needs or questions in the space below!

Vacation Bible School
July 21 - 23, 2026, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Prek-4 thru 5th Grade
StoryCamp is RSC's version of Vacation Bible School. StoryCamp is not your typical VBS! It is a "summer camp"- style program where kids learn about God's redemption story through worship, Bible lessons, crafts, and giant inflatable obstacle courses/slides. They are fed dinner and a cold treat each night of camp. All of our StoryCamp volunteers are vetted just like our StoryKids volunteers. All kids, regardless of ability, are welcome to attend. Check out our Instagram page, @rsc.story.kids, to check out what previous StoryCamps have looked like!
