Childcare Coordinator

The Childcare Coordinator reports to the Children’s Minister. This is an irregular part-time position located at Redemption Story Church and is provided by a man or woman that is currently or will become a member of Redemption Story Church.   

A Childcare Coordinator of Redemption Story Church ensures that children and members of their families experience the love of God in a safe and nurturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Arrives minimum 30 minutes prior to all childcare events, ensures all rooms are prepared and cleared upon conclusion of events.

  • Provide steady, welcoming, and coordinating presence in the NextGen Building from 30 minutes before a scheduled event begins until 15 minutes after the final activity ends.

  • Assists the Children’s Minister with Check-In set up.

  • Physically present in the children’s ministry areas at all times during ministry events.

  • Responsible for cleaning of toys and equipment

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with Redemption Story Church’s Statement of Faith and commit to exhibiting a lifestyle that is consistent with the same

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Certified in infant/child CPR training or in process of certification

  • Minimum [  ] years of experience with childcare

  • Possesses a natural orientation towards cleanliness and orderliness of childcare spaces

  • Displays a level of maturity which will ensure that appropriate boundaries are in place and that they will adhere to principles of the RSC Personnel Policies and NextGen Policies with specific attention to honoring privacy, and confidentiality of both staff and congregation, and abiding by MinistrySafe policies as applicable and necessary.

  • Demonstrates a positive, engaging, and respectful attitude at all times.

    • Frequently required to stand and walk quickly

    • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
